Cath Kendrick

“It’s a huge privilege to be invited into something that’s such an important part in a person’s life.”

— Cath Kendrick, cancer survivor and Project H.E.R. volunteer.

Cath Kendrick knows only too well how important caring, education, enlightenment, and support are to someone diagnosed with cancer. The disease claimed the lives of her mother and a first-cousin, and has stricken nearly every close female relative. Cath is an eight-year cancer survivor herself.
For more than seven years now, Cath has also been a volunteer mentor for Project H.E.R, doing everything from accompanying patients to their doctor’s appointments, taking notes for patients, talking with them about their experiences, and helping them through the process. Cath Kendrick is the 2014 Susan Merrill Spirit of Survivorship award recipient.
“It’s a huge privilege to be invited into something that’s such an important part in a person’s life.”
